When Ian at Staying Sharp wanted to start offering a postal service in addition to his established mobile sharpening business he came to me to evaluate the current competition’s way of doing things and see if we could do it any better.
The result is a more streamlined, automated ordering process (for both Ian and his customers!) using an e-commerce platform at its core. Customers follow a simple 3-step process to order their blade sharpening and are automatically emailed a custom packing slip complete with their order details and address labels ready to send to Staying Sharp.
This integrated approach seems to be being well received by customers and Ian is already expanding his reach across the UK, finding business where he otherwise would not have with a purely mobile service.
