Recently the Puffin crew launched their new boat “Black Puffin” to scour Lymington river for pirate treasure…and decided that the site I originally made for them back in 2012 was due a redesign. Intricate layered-animation projects such as these are quite complicated to implement, but that said, they are a lot of fun…

The result is brand new single-page responsive website featuring an animated parallax driven header, (designed to appeal to the inner child in all of us) with custom drawn graphics and illustration throughout. The graphics are split in to several layers that react to mouse movement (or device tilt based on gyroscopic positioning) to create a 3D scene with moving boats, jumping fish & flying seagulls!
